23RD ANNUAL GREENWOOD

DAIRY DAYS 38 BICYCLE RACE AND

CRITERIUM

JULY 12, 2008

Road Race: Note the change in location. Saturday, July 12, 2008. 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Greenwood Softball Park on East Schofield Avenue, behind the Cenex station. Race begins at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine. Online registration is available until July 9, 2008 at midwestevents.com. Click on cycling.

Course: Though, the race will follow the usual 38 mile course, there will be some changes to the start and finish. The race will stage at the Softball Diamond and there will be a rolling/paced start going north on Main street and west on G to the usual start, west of the Black River bridge, where the pace vehicle will pull away and the racing begins. We are currently working out the details of finishing on Main Street. Electronic timing.

Awards: Special awards for top overall male & female finishers. Medals awarded to top 3 finishers in each of the Wisport age groups. Middle of the pack award. (Must be present to win.)

Perks: Long sleeved T-shirts given to first 125 to register for road race. Continental breakfast beginning at 7:30. Refreshments (fruit, soda, sport drinks) available after the race. Riders who did the Willard Time Trial and this race will be entered in a $100.00 raffle. Courtesy of Lead Butt Racing. Must be present to win.

Cost: Road Race $25.00 Individual $40.00 Tandem Family (minimum of 3) $15.00 each racer

Youth 14 & under $15.00. Crit $20.00 per entrant.

Criterium: Registration 2:00 until 3:00 at softball diamond, or online until July 9, at midwestevents.com. There will be two races approximately 30 minutes each. Riders will be divided according to how they finish in the road race, or based on previous results. The B race for the slower riders will go off at 3:30. The A race, for faster riders to follow first race. Usual Wisport awards. FinishLynx race timing system.

Course: 1.5 mile course on streets of Greenwood.

Festival activities all day at the ballpark will include a flea market, concessions, music.
